Our Story

After immigrating to the Chilliwack area from the Netherlands four decades ago, our family happily planted our roots in the place we are proud to call home.

Since the mid-1980’s, our family has been tending to the roofing needs of our valued customers, be it installation, renewal, or miscellaneous roof repair in Abbotsford and Chilliwack.

In 2016, Top Notch Roofing’s founder, Tony VandePol retired from the business, leaving his son Marcel and son-in-law Walter in charge.

Since then, Top Notch Roofing Inc. has continued to maintain its reputation as a tight-knit, hard-working, family-owned roofing business that puts its hands and hearts together to provide the residents of our community with exceptional roofing services.

From its modest roots, our company has grown to earn its current reputation as Fraser Valley’s most reliable roofing company. Beginning with just our duo of honest men, our company is now comprised of several hard-working crews and has built partnerships with many other building contractors throughout the valley.

The short answer, a lot. We’ll begin by promptly sending you a professional quote that is easy to understand and free of jargon. We also offer monthly payment options to make getting a new roof easier for you and you’ll receive proof of WCB before we start.

During the installation, you’ll always be in the know about our progress, and we’ll take extensive care to protect your home and gardens. Your site will stay clean and we’ll work within your city/municipal bylaws. We’ll arrive on time, stay on schedule and keep your driveway as clear as possible. We’ll replace all of your flashing and outdated roof parts and inform you if a part of your roof requires repair or replacement beyond our quote. We’ll also take precautions to avoid damaging your driveway, gutters and soffit. Before we leave your property everyday, we’ll collect all garbage and collect the nails from your driveway with a magnet cart.

When finished, you’ll receive a final full roof inspection and a reliable warranty. Our crews are certified, professional and uniformed. Rest assured, your best interests are our priority and your roof is in the hands of a professional roofer in Chilliwack.

The sales manager Walter and salesman Zach took time to go through the quote and answer all my question in a most professional manner. Once the contract was signed I was contacted by Marcel and Brodie to set up the installation schedule. Both met with me to go over the proceedures and to address any concerns I had.

    The installation crew Aleks and assistant Caleb arrived on time and along with Brodie reviewed all my requests and commenced the work.... the new roof was installed in 2 1/2 days and competed to my satisfaction. Brodie came the next day to inspect the workmanship and ensured that everything was completed according to plan. I am extremely pleased with the excellence of service, quality of installation and thorough followup by the sales team, the production co ordinators and the professional installers.
